Poole & Kent's Lockhart named Safety Professional of the Year

Poole & Kent Company of Florida has announced that Dave Lockhart, the company’s Director of Loss Control and Safety Director, has been named Safety Professional of the Year by the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF). 
MIAMI, FLA – Poole & Kent Company of Florida has announced that Dave Lockhart, the company’s Director of Loss Control and Safety Director, has been named Safety Professional of the Year by the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF).  The award recognizes an individual who has greatly impacted the safety culture of his company as well as the construction industry in South Florida.

Since beginning with Poole & Kent in 2000, under Mr. Lockhart’s direction the company has had continuous improvement in its safety performance, including posting a major safety record of Zero Recordable Accidents in 2012. This accomplishment resulted in Poole & Kent receiving a 1st Place Excellence in Safety Award from The Mechanical Contractors Association of South Florida (MCASF) in 2012, which was the second 1st place safety award it received from MCASF in 3 years.
 
Mr. Lockhart has been a leader in promoting safety throughout the construction industry. He participates in numerous safety training events, has taught OSHA 10 hours, CPR, first aid, and confined space classes; he is also involved with the Safety Expo for Students. He serves as Chairman of the MCASF Safety Committee, Co-Chair of the CASF Committee and is a member of the AGC Safety Committee.  Mr. Lockhart is also active in the National Association of Safety Professionals and the Safety Alliance for Excellence.
