Chart of the week: NY leads U.S. construction comeback

Few states suffered more during the economic downturn than New York. However, since 2013, the numbers have been turning around.

More than $8.5 billion in new construction is now in the pipeline. That money doesn't even count Hurricane Sandy reconstruction efforts due to complicated government bookkeeping.
