MEMPHIS, TN — American Residential Services (ARS), a Memphis, TN-based privately held national provider of heating, air conditioning and plumbing services, announced that it has acquired the assets of Greenstar Home Services, and of  Aspen Air Conditioning.

Greenstar has two locations operating out of Orange, CA and Las Vegas, NV which provide homeowners with plumbing and HVAC services, installations, and repairs. The location serving Southern California will retain the Greenstar brand and continue to operate as an independent service center. The Las Vegas location will be consolidated with ARS' local leading brand, Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing.

Aspen Air Conditioning is located in Boca Raton, FL. This acquisition will be in the eighth major metro market that ARS serves in Florida, further broadening its statewide presence.

Greenstar's CEO Jeremy Prevost and COO Colin Martodam will continue to serve as the leadership team for the Southern California operation. "The culture that Greenstar was founded on was demanding, execution-oriented, and certainly not guaranteed to mesh with the average home service company," said Prevost. "It was, however, a culture that enabled Greenstar to grow exponentially and emerge as one of the industry leaders. In ARS, we have found a culture and a leadership team that embody the philosophies on which Greenstar was founded. Together we plan to install a fast-paced, customer centric, process-driven business culture that will take us to the next level. I am confident that, under the visionary leadership of Dave Slott and Don Karnes, Greenstar will realize its full potential."

Don Karnes, Chief Executive Officer of ARS, said, "We are excited to kick off the new year by adding Greenstar Home Services to our network. This acquisition will allow us to bring world-class service to more customers in markets where we are already operating. United by our national network, Greenstar will continue to provide exceptional service to their customers while growing in ways they wouldn't have been able to on their own."

"We selected Greenstar Home Services to join the ARS network of companies because of their commitment to quality and service," said Dave Slott, President and Chief Operating Officer of ARS. "We are pleased to be partnering with the talented management team and warmly welcome them into our ARS family."

Aspen Air's President, Steve Maguire, will continue to oversee the flourishing 32-year-old HVAC business. "We are thrilled to be joining the ARS team who shares our goals of customer and employee satisfaction and are looking forward to the opportunities for growth. Through this partnership with ARS we will take our services to residents and businesses of Southeast Florida to the next level," said Maguire.

Dave Slott said, "We are excited to kick off the new year by adding Aspen Air to our ARS network. Aspen Air's company culture is family-oriented, which is why it's no surprise that they have exceptional standards for treating their customers and employees right. For this reason, it will be easy to align our values for high-caliber service."

ARS operates a network of more than 65 company-owned, locally-managed service locations spanning 22 states, with approximately 5,500 employees. The ARS / Rescue Rooter Network serves both residential and light commercial customers by providing heating, cooling, indoor air quality, plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer line, radiant barrier, insulation and ventilation services.
