Executive Director Sought for ASSE International Chapter of IAPMO

The IAPMO Group is seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for successful leadership and management as executive director of the ASSE International Chapter of IAPMO.

CLEVELAND, OH – The IAPMO Group is seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for successful leadership and management as executive director of the ASSE International Chapter of IAPMO. Under the direction of The IAPMO Group CEO, the executive director will ensure that all of activities of the ASSE International Chapter are carried out within The IAPMO Group vision, mission and philosophy, and are consistent with the objectives established by the ASSE International Chapter of IAPMO Board of Directors.

Founded in 1906 by then District of Columbia Chief Plumbing Inspector Henry B. Davis, ASSE is one of the oldest plumbing organizations in the United States. Its professional membership develops and maintains both product and professional qualification standards for the plumbing and mechanical industry while also administering one of the most recognized plumbing product certification programs. ASSE members in November voted in favor of joining The IAPMOG Group as an international chapter.

The executive director will support the operation and administration of the ASSE International Chapter by advising and informing the ASSE International Chapter president of business matters and interfacing between the board and staff. He or she will develop and implement long-range strategies and yearly goals, as well as an annual budget, and oversee the planning and implementation of the ASSE International Product Listing (SEAL), professional certification and standards programs, as well as ASSE international membership.

Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to associations and an understanding of ethical business practices and behavior. Knowledge about industry codes and standards and the processes used to develop them, product and personnel certification programs, and budget preparation and implementation skills is essential.

Candidates must be available to start on May 1, 2013.
