New Jersey-based Fras-Air Service Experts Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing is painting two of their service vans pink for the entire month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to raise money to help fight breast cancer.
Twenty percent of the money made from all house calls serviced by the two pink vans during the month will be donated to battle the deadly disease.
About 1 in 8 U.S. women (12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. Almost 300,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed annually. Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer diagnosed in women (skin cancer is first) and the second deadliest (lung cancer is first).
