Larry Dore, former VP of Marketing and Sales at InSinkErator, passes away

Married for 59 years to Dolores Dore Korean War veteran, having served with the Army Corps of Engineers Retired from InSinkErator in 1995

Lawrence "Larry" B. Dore, longtime VP of Marketing and Sales at InSinkErator, passed away on December 18th. From his obituary notice:

Lawrence B. Dore, a kind and loving husband, son, brother, father, uncle and friend passed away on December 18, 2015 in Homer Glen, IL, after suffering a stroke. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Dore, sisters Elanor Luce and Florence Petrocelli and brothers Jim, Bob and John "Bud" Dore. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 59 years, Dolores Dore, who lovingly cared for him throughout his life but especially in his final years of illness.

He is also survived by his sister Catherine Fitzgerald, three daughters, Maureen Stiner, Susan Kocher and Kathy Byrd, son Jim Dore, grandchildren Katie and Blair Stiner, Michael and Emily Kocher, Conor, Abby, Mikayla and Alexander Dore, and Zack and Colton Byrd along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was raised in Visitation Church parish where he attended grammar school and is a graduate of the De La Salle Institute. He is a Korean War veteran, having served with the Army Corps of Engineers.

He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1955 with a degree in marketing and began a long and successfull career in sales and management in the plumbing manufacturing business. He retired in 1995 from InSinkErator in Racine, WI, where he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Larry was a lifelong, avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and Bulls, as well as a gold, tennis and skiing enthusiast.

The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hope House at Victorian Village for the compassionate care they provided to Larry. They also greatly appreciate the many cheerful visits to Uncle Larry from their dear nice and cousin, Susie Frederickson.
