WHITTIER, CALIF. — The ICC Evaluation Service Plumbing, Mechanical & Fuel Gas (PMG) Listing Program recently issued PMG-1154 to LSP Products Group and PMG-1148 to Elkhart Products Corp.
ICC-ES PMG certified LSP Products Group’s Pull-Stop Outlet Box to the 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Plumbing Code; 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Residential Code; the 2012, 2009 and 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code; and the 2010 National Plumbing Code of Canada as well as to other industry requirements. With this certification, LSP Products Group may distribute its products in both the U.S. and Canada. Because ICC-ES PMG is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada, all provinces and territories in Canada will accept the ICC-ES cPMG mark of conformity.
Elkhart Products Corp.’s press type copper fittings with rubber o-rings are now certified to the 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Plumbing Code; 2012, 2009 and 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code and the 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Residential Code as well as to other industry requirements.
"We believe that clients are choosing ICC-ES because of our focus on a high level of customer service, combined with the quality, speed and value," said Dawn LaFleur Qualley, ICC-ES PMG certification program manager. “Additionally, we provide manufacturers the solution to expand their markets in Canada as well as the U.S.”
Many code officials throughout the U.S. and Canada are requiring the cPMG mark on products before approving for installation, which has resulted in clients seeking ICC-ES PMG listings. When a project is held up in the field, manufacturers call ICC-ES for a resolution and receive peace of mind that ICC-ES will do its due diligence in an expedited manner and produce the certification reports for which code officials look.
The ICC-ES PMG Listing Program has wide acceptance in North America. The program does not require warehouse inspections or fees for additional company listings. When applying for an ICC-ES PMG listing, ICC-ES can also certify products to AB1953, NSF/ANSI Standard 372, S.3874 (Federal Law for Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water) and the requirements of WaterSense free of charge.
