UMEC wins ninth 1st place national safety award

TEMPE, ARIZ. — University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors Inc. here has been recognized for the ninth time since 2000 with a national 1st Place Safety Excellence Award for exemplary safety practices and performance from the Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors National Association. The award was presented for best safety and health record within the 500,000+ man-hours worked category, the highest level attainable. The company’s occupational safety and health performance has resulted in more than seven million man-hours worked without a lost-time accident over an eight-year period.
