Plumbing, HVAC apprentices compete for national title at PHCC Connect 2013

At PHCC Connect 2013, 24 apprentices competed for prizes and, most importantly, the national title as winner of the Foundation’s plumbing and HVAC apprentice contests.

At PHCC Connect 2013, 24 apprentices competed for prizes and, most importantly, the national title as winner of the Foundation’s plumbing and HVAC apprentice contests. Most apprentices already won contests at the state or local level and were ready for the contest in Las Vegas. According to the PHCC, an experience like this can shape an apprentice's entire career. Contest headline sponsors were A.O. Smith, BrassCraft, Channellock, Copper Development Association, Delta Faucet Company, RIDGID and Viega. Contestant Sponsors were AHRI, A.O. Smith, College of Southern Nevada, Kohler, Legend Valve, NATE and NIBCO.

2ndPlace – Cameron Lange, Lange Plumbing, Las Vegas

3rdPlace – Jason Robertson, Mike Tilton Plumbing, Shreveport, La.

HVAC

1stPlace – Tyler Plueger, Norwalk-La Mirada Plumbing & Heating, Norwalk, Calif.

2ndPlace – Mike Deeben, M. E. Flow, Inc., Leesburg, Va.

3rdPlace – Robert Monroe, Shapiro & Duncan, Rockville, Md.
