MONTGOMERY, ALA. — The Water Heater Division of the Rheem Manufacturing Co. has launched a marketing program through its wholesalers dedicated to the licensed plumbing contractor. Called “Plumbers Pride,” the program seeks to bolster the professional image of the contractor, while offering trades people a range of marketing tools to help them make more money selling water heaters.
The Plumbers Pride campaign encompasses merchandising aids carrying the new theme: “Plumbers Pride: Doing It Right!” Several items available to contractors through Rheem/Ruud distributors include: a vehicle-identification program; wearables, including caps, shirts and jackets as well as T-shirts and rompers for younger members of the plumber’s family; and turnkey, local advertising campaigns.
Each campaign includes a direct-mail piece, a print advertising slick, a doorknob/pipe hanger and an “emergency” sticker to remind the customer whom to call when a water heater needs replacement. These materials can be imprinted with the contractor’s name, logo and contact information.
These and other elements of the program are described in the 12-page, four-color “Working Hard to Make Your Life Better” brochure that is available to distributors and their customers through Rheem sales representatives. Rheem is kicking off the campaign with a national sales promotion.
No purchase is necessary to enter the Rheem/Ruud Invest in America Sweepstakes and Rewards Program, which enables participants to win U.S. Patriot Savings Bonds, including the grand prize of a $5,000 bond.
Contractors can also earn U.S. Patriot Bonds of various denominations or Plumbers Pride wearables through their purchases of water heaters during the promotion. Contractors earn points with each purchase, and these points can be redeemed for bonds or clothing after the program’s June 30 conclusion.
