RACINE, WI. — InSinkErator continued its 51 years of support to the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors (PHCC) National Auxiliary by naming Kathy Lynne Tindall the Auxiliary’s Member of the Year and giving special awards to six PHCC Auxiliaries for their outstanding achievements during the past year.

InSinkErator, along with the PHCC National Auxiliary, selected Tindall as the 2014 Larry Dore Member of the Year in recognition of her years of service to the organization and her contributions to the plumbing, heating and cooling industry. Tindall, of the PHCC of New Jersey Auxiliary, served as the National Auxiliary President in 2004-2005 and has been actively involved in the PHCC National Educational Foundation since 1998. During that time, Tindall served terms as Publicity Chair, Convention Co-Chair, Marketing Chair, Membership Secretary and two years as National Recording Secretary.

Tindall – who received a $2,000 cash award and commemorative plaque for being selected Member of the Year – is also active in her local community, where she is a Girl Scout leader, President of the Lawrence Instrumental Music Booster Organization and has been active in the West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company for more than 30 years.

InSinkErator and the PHCC National Auxiliary also recognized six notable Auxiliaries with Robert M. Cox Humanitarian awards during the association’s 132nd national convention, CONNECT 2014, held Oct. 8-10 in New Orleans. 

The Robert M. Cox Humanitarian Award recognizes state or local Auxiliaries that have made an impact on the industry or local community, and demonstrate cooperation between the Auxiliary and contractor association.

Robert M. Cox Humanitarian Awards were presented in the categories of Image and Recruitment. Two groups of awards were given, based on membership levels:

First Place (3-20 members) – Illinois PHCC Auxiliary

Second Place (3-20 members) – Women’s Auxiliary PHCC of Lincoln (Neb.)

Honorable Mention (3-20 members) – PHCC Auxiliary of Delaware

First Place (21-40 members) – Washington State PHCC Auxiliary

Second Place (21-40 members) - PHCC of Nebraska Auxiliary

Robert M. Cox Humanitarian Award – Recruitment:

First Place (3-20 members) – PHCC Auxiliary of Delaware

Second Place (3-20 members) – Illinois PHCC Auxiliary

Honorable Mention (3-20 members) – PHCC Auxiliary of Delaware
