ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Plumbing Industry Council, in conjunction with United Association Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562, has become a corporate sponsor of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Starting with its annual "Night at the Ball Game" in May, the Plumbing Industry Council welcomed 225 contractors, affiliates and guests to Busch Stadium. The ceremonial first pitch was throne out by Mallory Mitchell, daughter of Plumbing Industry Council President Robert C. Mitchell.
The evening featured the unveiling of the Plumbing Industry Council's 3-by-40-ft. rotating sign located down the third-base line as well as a promotional video recognizing the Plumbing Industry Council's 40th Anniversary and honoring the 1967 Cardinals World Series Championship team.
