MOKENA, ILL. – The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) will hold a one-day “Basics of Radiant Heating and Cooling” presentation on Thursday, Oct. 29, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Taco Inc. training facilities in Cranston, R.I.

The first in a series of classes designed to educate RPA members on the requirements of the ASSE International Radiant Installer Professional Qualification standard and prepare them for achieving certification as a Radiant Installer, attendees will receive eight (8) IACET credit hours toward the minimum 24 hours of classroom time required to take the ASSE International exam.

“Upon completion, attendees will have a much greater understanding of the myriad ways that radiant comfort can be applied, including radiant floors of all types, radiant walls, ceiling, and panel radiators,” said Mark Eatherton, the class’ instructor and executive director of the RPA. “They will understand the nuances, applications, and limitations of all hydronic components, including the different types of boilers and their applications, ground source heat pumps and their limitations, as well as compatibility between the different heat sources and methodologies for distribution.”

Eatherton, a 40-plus-year industry veteran, brings extensive technical expertise and invaluable personal experiences to his teaching.

The registration fee is $150 for RPA members ($200 for non-members) and includes lunch. Pre-registration is required to ensure adequate food and facilities, with attendance limited to 45 students.
