Chemistry and Biology students on the University of Kentucky campus have a new space to explore with the recent completion of the Academic Science Building (ASB). Located at the southern edge of the campus, construction for the 263,000-square-foot educational center began in August 2014 and was documented until its completion by EarthCam construction cameras. See the entire project from start to finish with EarthCam’s new time-lapse movie.
The ASB includes state-of-the-art undergraduate teaching laboratories, technology-enhanced active learning environments, tiered lecture halls, learning center spaces and more. The unique shell-space design fosters a sense of community and promotes a collaborative atmosphere for the students.
