CLEVELAND, OHIO – H. Jack’s Plumbing & Heating Co. supported the fight against hunger in Northeast Ohio by making a $50,000.00 Matching Gift contribution to the 2022 Harvest for Hunger campaign. Harvest for Hunger is one of the largest annual food and funds drives in the country, comprising 4 food banks and 21 counties in Ohio. This year’s campaign ran from March 3rd to June 8th and raised over $9.7 million dollars, which will generate more than 29 million nutritious meals.

Working with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, John H. Langer, President of H. Jack’s Plumbing and Heating Co., was compelled to challenge his fellow Harvest for Hunger Kitchen Cabinet Members and offer a $50,000.00 Matching Gift contribution. “Our combined donations will provide over 300,000 healthy meals to the children, adults, elderly, and families who need them most in Northeast Ohio,” said Langer. “With the ongoing pandemic and rising food costs, this Harvest for Hunger campaign has never been more necessary to help those who are food insecure and unsure of where their next meal will come from.”

Positive Impact

Since H. Jack’s started getting involved with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in January of 2019, their campaigns, donations, and matching gift contributions have helped provide over half a million (500,000+) meals to Northeast Ohio residents.

“The support from H. Jack’s over the years has been tremendous, and has really made a positive impact on our community,” said Kristin Warzocha, President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. “John stepped up in an amazing way this year with the $50,000.00 match opportunity and truly inspired his fellow Kitchen Cabinet Members to give additional dollars, propelling us to exceed our campaign goal. We are grateful for John’s leadership and for the support of H. Jack’s and all its employees.”
