ATLANTA —Rheem has earned the prestigious “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately held homebuilder. Rheem achieved an “A, A” ranking in Quality and Service in David Weekley Homes’ comprehensive evaluation system, which includes the National Trading Partner Survey.

Rheem provides a number of tank-type and tankless water heaters to David Weekley Homes. More than 600 David Weekley Homes Team Members from every market and every level inside its organization participates in the program by rating the suppliers’ effectiveness in delivering Quality and Service to the organization.

The company presents the “Partners of Choice” Awards to its suppliers that maintained either an “A, A” ranking for both Quality and Service for the previous twelve months or an “A” ranking in either Quality or Service. Rheem earned the “A” ranking for service in 2012, but this is the first year that it received an “A, A” ranking for both service and quality.

“We’ve always admired David Weekley Homes’ commitment to collaborating with its business partners and Rheem is proud to be recognized once again with the company’s esteemed Partners of Choice Award,” said Jeff Reimer, regional sales manager, Rheem Water Heating Division. “Rheem is the first water heater manufacturer to earn an ‘A, A’ ranking in both Quality and Service from David Weekley Homes, and we look forward to seeing this relationship grow even stronger in the future.”

Now in its tenth year, the company’s rating system allows David Weekley Homes to compare companies’ performance from different industries. Bill Justus, David Weekley Homes’ vice president of supply chain services, implemented this evaluation method in order to reduce channel costs and provide the highest degree of homeowner satisfaction.

“Our evaluation process is so thorough and complete that you can’t talk your way to success,” said Bill Justus. “Through their actions, our friends at Rheem have proven to be best in breed in delivering products and services to David Weekley Homes.”
