ARLINGTON, VA. — North American Technician Excellence (NATE), in partnership with APR Supply Co., is offering NATE certification testing in conjunction with the Penton Mechanical Systems Group’s Comfortech 2013. The annual seminar and product showcase will kick off on Sept. 18, 2013, and run through Sept. 20, 2013 in Philadelphia. Comfortech is hosted by CONTRACTOR and Contracting Business magazines.
The NATE test session is scheduled for Sept. 17, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in Pennsylvania Convention Center Room 123. One of the ways technicians can prepare for the NATE exams is to attend a four-hour course, hosted by APR Supply Co. from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. led by 38-year HVACR veteran and APR Supply Technical Services Advisor Group Manager Eddie Howell. Technicians can choose to take the NATE Core and/or a NATE specialty exam for $125 each.
NATE is the nation’s largest industry-endorsed, non-profit certification organization for HVACR technicians. Candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in 11 specialty areas: air conditioning, air distribution, heat pumps, gas heating, oil heating, hydronics gas, hydronics oil, commercial refrigeration, light commercial refrigeration, ground source heat pump and senior efficiency analyst.
