NORTHBROOK, IL -- Adam Klemme, Project Manager at F.E. Moran Fire Protection, has been awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Fire Prevention Bureau of the city of Chicago for taking the time to train fire protection inspection students. Mr. Klemme was working as the Project Manager on a fire protection installation project on Hubbard Street in Chicago when he was approached by the Fire Prevention Bureau to conduct fire protection training.

The training took place June 28, 2013; Mr. Klemme gave the students a tour of the building, explaining the different fire protection systems with the help of the fitters working during this time. As Mr. Klemme conducted the tour, he would ask for input from the fitters and Foreman, Eric Woolwine. Without the excellent install of the different types of fire sprinkler systems from Mr. Woolwine, the class wouldn’t have been as effective as it was.

This training was not Mr. Klemme’s first foray into teaching. This 19 year fire protection veteran also spent 11 years teaching 11-week courses with the Illinois Fire Inspector Association. Mr. Klemme said, “I love to teach and help people learn. I love life safety and teaching the codes.”
