Joe Parsons has worked in the HVAC industry for over 40 years with a focus on renewables and geothermal heat pumps. He is currently the Senior Marketing Sustainability Manger for Climate Control Group, serving as an advocate for renewable and sustainable HVAC technologies.In 2018, he joined The Climate Control Group family as the Senior Product Manager for ClimateMaster, the leading geothermal heat and water source heat pump manufacturer. Prior to his move to ClimateMaster, Joe was president and CEO of EarthLinked Technologies, a Florida based manufacturer of geothermal heat pumps.Throughout his career, Joe has remained active in geothermal industry related activities through participation in standards and advocacy organizations.In 2014 he was elected to the Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) board of directors and served as its chairman from 2016-2018. He is a founding member of NY-GEO and currently sits on its advisory board and is an officer and director of the California Geothermal Heat Pump Association. Joe has twice served as AHRI Geothermal and Water Source Product Section chair and board member.An ASHRAE member since 1998, he participates in TC 6.8 activities and has served as the chair of ASHRAE standards committee SPC 194 on multiple occasions. He is a voting member of the Canadian Standards Association and an active participant in the current updates to the C448 bi-national standard, currently serves on the AHRI advisory committee. As an industry advocate his goal is to educate the market on the financial and environmental benefits of geothermal heat pump technology and providing potential customers with a clearly defined path to geothermal ownership.
