NORWALK, CONN. — EMCOR Group announced in late February that its wholly owned subsidiary Shambaugh & Son was awarded a $44 million project to serve as prime contractor for the design and construction of a new food production facility for the T. Marzetti Co. In addition, Shambaugh will perform the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, plant automation, temperature controls, fire protection and general construction work.

The 19-month T. Marzetti Co. project involves designing and building a 220,000-sq.-ft., state-of-the-art primary manufacturing facility in Horse Cave, Ky. The facility will feature a number of innovative features designed specifically for Marzetti, allowing it to enhance the efficiency of its production process for dressings and sauces for many of the country’s major restaurants, food retailers and food distributors.
