PHILADELPHIA — Crown Boiler Co., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a recall notice Dec. 3, 2013, for gas-fired hot water boilers. The air pressure switch can fail to shut down the burners in the event that there is a blockage in the vent system allowing the boiler to emit excessive amounts of carbon monoxide, posing a CO poisoning hazard to the consumer.
Consumers are being instructed should stop using this product and contact their heating contractor immediately.
