BLYTHEWOOD, SC — Due to popularity, Spirax Sarco is pleased to announce that they have extended the dates of the World’s Oldest Boiler Contest. Participants can now submit their entry until November 15, 2014.

Subscribers to SteamNews magazine are asked to locate the world’s oldest commercially working steam boiler in an industrial or building service setting (no museum displays). Grand prize winner will be awarded an Amazon – Kindle Paperwhite – 2 GB and announced in the December supplement of SteamNews Magazine.

“Steam systems have a reputation for being reliable and robust, working for many years with minimal maintenance. Modern steam systems are many times more efficient than older systems and Spira  Sarco would like to prove the point by comparing a modern system with a really old one. But first we have to find the oldest one.” Tracy Britt, Marketing Communication Coordinator, Spirax Sarco said.

Contest rules are as follows: Spirax Sarco employees, immediate family members or other affiliates are not eligible for prize award. To qualify, subscribe to SteamNews magazine’s latest issue at http://bit.ly/zYjZsw and receive additional details regarding how to send your entry. Please include with your submission your full name, company name, information for verification and a .jpg image of the oldest working steam boiler.

Submissions will not be accepted or entered without the proper information. The winner will be notified by email on November 30, 2014.
