EMCOR Group Workers and Clients Wear Pink Hard Hats for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

EMCOR Group, Inc announces that, for the fourth consecutive year, thousands of its employees across the U.S. will commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by donning EMCOR Pink Hard Hats in support of the Company's "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today" campaign.
NORWALK, CONN. -- EMCOR Group, Inc., a leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses announces that, for the fourth consecutive year, thousands of its employees across the U.S. will commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by donning EMCOR Pink Hard Hats in support of the Company's "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today" campaign.·         Also, EMCOR employees and clients will wear EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and form massive Human Pink ribbons, EMCOR’s “signature” event, creating powerful visual "Calls to Action".
·         Additionally, EMCOR’s fleet of 6,000 service vehicles will display Pink Hard Hat “Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today.” posters.

The 4th largest human pink ribbon ever formed in the U.S. will be created this year as part of EMCOR’s program when, on October 4th, 400+ construction workers and employees of EMCOR’s Marelich Mechanical subsidiary and client Kaiser Permanente will don Pink Hard Hats, at the construction site of Kaiser Permanente’s new medical center in San Leandro, California. Additionally, for the first time to occur on a large construction site, all the workers at that site will wear Pink Hard Hats throughout October as an ongoing reminder to the community of the importance of breast cancer screening.

EMCOR Human Pink Hard Hat ribbon events in 2012 will also include the following clients and locations:
·        Yale Cancer Center, New Haven, Connecticut
·        GE Aircraft, Durham, North Carolina
