Peter J. Minton has joined Murphy Co. of St. Louis as a project manager in its Quick Response group. Murphy’s QR group provides project management for mechanical, plumbing and process piping projects needing expedited schedules and ranging in cost from $1,500 to $500,000. Minton has more than 25 years of industry experience.
Christopher B. Hiemenz has been promoted to vice president/business development at Murphy Co. Hiemenz joined Murphy Co. in 2002 as a member of the business development team. In his new position, Hiemenz oversees day-to-day operations of the company’s sales and marketing department.
A.O. Smith Water Products Co. announced the 10 winners of its Professional Contractor Association Scholarships. Ten $2,000 scholarships are to be applied toward higher education. The scholarship program was launched to encourage continued education for PCA members and their families. It is open to high school seniors, high school graduates and GED recipients or students who are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school. PCA members and member employees, their spouses, children and grandchildren are eligible to participate.
