EMCOR wins GSA contract

EMCOR Group Inc. announced that its EMCOR Government Services subsidiary has received a contract from the U.S. General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service at the John W. McCormack Federal Building in Boston.

Norwalk, Conn. — EMCOR Group Inc. announced that its EMCOR Government Services subsidiary has received a contract from the U.S. General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service at the John W. McCormack Federal Building in Boston. This facility will serve as the new home for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency New England.

EMCOR Government Services will be responsible for the total operation and maintenance of the building. The scope of work for EGS includes operation and maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems; fire protection systems; control systems; architectural and structural systems; locks and keycard systems; and management of the building service calls.

The McCormack Building is undergoing a renovation that is anticipated to receive a Silver LEED rating by the U.S. Green Building Council.
