IAPMO BPI Approved by the California Department of Public Health for Continuing Education for Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution System Operators

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials Backflow Prevention Institute (IAPMO BPI) has been approved by the California Department of Public Health to provide Continuing Education for Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution System Operators.

ONTARIO, CALIF. -- The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials Backflow Prevention Institute (IAPMO BPI) has been approved by the California Department of Public Health to provide Continuing Education for Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution System Operators.

IAPMO BPI, a leader in cross‐connection training both in the United States and internationally, has been aprovider of the ASSE certification program for many years. In June, the California Department of Public Health's Division of Drinking Water and Environmental Management’s Drinking Water Program — the division responsible for administering California’s Safe Drinking Water Act, regulating public drinking water systems, and adopting and enforcing regulations — resolved to accept the ASSE 5110 certification for individuals who perform testing on backflow prevention assemblies in the state of California.

IAPMO BPI will be conducting the following Backflow Tester Certification Classes and a Backflow PreventionProgram Administrator/Specialist Training and Certification around the state of California:
