ONTARIO, CALIF. — Due to a high demand for educational seminars in 2005 and the expansion of code development, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is seeking a director of plumbing and mechanical code support and instructors to conduct educational seminars throughout the world based on the Uniform Plumbing and Uniform Mechanical codes.

The tasks demand that applicants possess extensive knowledge of the UPC and UMC, the highest level of integrity and a dedication to public safety, explained Jay Peters, senior director of codes and education for IAPMO. Seminars are held in locations such as Japan and the Philippines as well as in the United States.

IAPMO advocates enhancing public health, comfort and safety through its work in the plumbing and mechanical communities and is the author of the UPC and UMC, the first ANSI-designated companion plumbing and mechanical codes. Interested persons can visit www.iapmo.org for more details or submit their resumes to [email protected] for immediate consideration.
