RALEIGH – PHCC of NC will host the “Best People. Best Practices. 2016 Connections Conference” on Thursday, April 14th at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Approximately 50 vendors are expected to participate in this year’s conference which will include a variety of activities for cooling, heating and plumbing contractors, students, suppliers and other associated professionals. Highlights will include approximately 50 vendors who will showcase the the latest, most innovative products and services for the cooling, heating and plumbing industries.

The conference will have future workers and leaders of the industry compete in the Regional SkillsUSA-NC Competitions. The competition brings together the best and brightest students in the plumbing and mechanical industries to test their skills.

The conference is also an opportunity for attendees to stay up-to-date with changes to the Sales Tax laws in NC, updates to the 2012 Codes, and to discover what contractors need to consider in Retirement, Estate, & Succession Planning.

"The PHCC of NC Connections Conference this year may be one of the most critical "must attend" events we've had in recent years", said Jim Pendergrass, Executive Director of PHCC of NC. "With the multitude of questions we receive about code changes, and the confusion on changes to the sales tax regulations that affect our contractors, we are excited to have representatives of both the Department of Insurance, and the Department of Revenue to present timely and authoritative explanations in both areas. An additional presentation on retirement and succession planning, a variety of vendor displays, and a look at next generation workers competing in the SkillsUSA-NC competitions only add to the value of contractors investing a day for the benefit of their business."

Admission is $5 at the door with proceeds benefiting the PHCC of NC Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. For more information, visit www.phccnc.com and click on Events, or contact Executive Director Jim Pendergrass at 919/532-0522.
