MOKENA, IL — The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) is gearing up for its Annual Meeting and Conference, which will include the Board of Directors election, educational seminars and presentation of the System Design Showcase Awards. The meeting will be held Jan. 26-29 at McCormick Place in Chicago, in conjunction with the 2015 AHR Expo.

In addition to holding elections for its Board of Directors, the RPA will host a luncheon where members will receive updates – and have the opportunity to comment – on the progress of the organization’s committees.

The RPA is scheduled to hold three educational seminars on both Jan. 26 and 28 on the following topics: Code Overview and Update; Commercial Cooling with Water – Radiant Cooling and Chilled-Beam “Compressor-less Cooling”; The Path to Net Zero through Hydronics; System Comfort Efficiency – Energy Consumption; Tips on Selling Radiant to Homeowners; and Integrating with Home  Automation Systems – Hydronics in a Connected World. The RPA also will have a booth on the show floor, and members who visit the booth will receive a special gift. More activities are being planned, and will be announced as they are finalized.

“The Radiant Professionals Alliance has been an exhibitor at the AHR Expo for many years, and it has been very beneficial,” said RPA Executive Director Mark Eatherton. “Now we are thrilled to be working with the AHR Expo to enhance education and training for the radiant-hydronic industry.”

Another highlight of the event will be the presentation of the System Design Showcase Awards, which recognize designers and contractors who demonstrate their creativity and finesse in design and competence in installation before their peers in the radiant and  hydronic industry. Additionally, entries in the “People’s Choice” cash awards program will be displayed.

The entry deadline for the System Design Showcase competition is Nov. 1. The categories are: Residential Cooling, Residential Heating, Commercial Cooling, Commercial Heating, Snow/Ice Melting, Electric and Innovation.

Entries must be postmarked by Nov. 1 and include a completed application, a comprehensive description, photos and  schematics/drawings. The application may be downloaded from the RPA website at http://www.radiantprofessionalsalliance.org/Documents/RPA_System_Showcase_Application.pdf.
