Technical Correlating Committee Applications Open for UPC and UMC 2030 Editions

ONTARIO, CA — IAPMO® is seeking volunteers to serve on the Technical Correlating Committee (TCC) for the 2030 editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®). The deadline to apply is May 22.

Committee Coordinates Final Code Alignment

The TCC is responsible for reviewing recommendations from technical committees and ensuring consistency across both codes. This includes resolving conflicts between proposed changes, aligning related provisions, and correcting errors or omissions before final publication.

The committee plays a key role late in the code development cycle, helping ensure that updates coming out of multiple technical groups work together in practice.

Broad Industry Representation Sought

IAPMO is seeking applicants from a range of interest categories, including manufacturers, users, installers and maintainers, labor representatives, research and testing laboratories, enforcing authorities, consumers, and special experts.

Committee members are appointed by the IAPMO Standards Council in accordance with the organization’s Regulations Governing Committee Projects.

All applicants must complete a Technical Correlating Committee membership application and submit a résumé outlining their qualifications.
