Key Highlights
- IAPMO adds Germany-based In Compliance to expand global consulting services for plumbing manufacturers
- The move strengthens support for international product approvals, certification pathways and drinking water regulations
- The acquisition builds out IAPMO’s compliance services beyond testing and certification as manufacturers face more complex global requirements
ONTARIO, CA — IAPMO has expanded its international product compliance capabilities with the addition of In Compliance, a Germany-based consulting firm specializing in global regulatory requirements for plumbing products and systems.
The move strengthens IAPMO’s ability to support manufacturers navigating increasingly complex product approval pathways across international markets, particularly for products that come into contact with drinking water.
Expanded Support for Global Product Compliance
Founded and led by Jutta Emge-Degenhardt, In Compliance has built a strong reputation helping manufacturers understand and meet product standards, certification requirements and market entry regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Its expertise spans plumbing products, systems and components, with a focus on international approvals tied to health and safety standards for potable water systems.
For manufacturers supplying products across global markets, compliance requirements continue to grow more complicated, especially as drinking water regulations tighten and documentation requirements expand.
New Consulting Capabilities Complement Existing Services
IAPMO said the addition formalizes and expands its consulting capabilities, which had previously been offered on a more limited, project-specific basis.
By bringing In Compliance into its organization, IAPMO adds a more structured consulting arm to complement its existing standards development, testing and certification services.
“Jutta’s vision and leadership have built something truly special at In Compliance, and as our organizations come together, we have an extraordinary opportunity to unite the talent, expertise, and shared commitment of both teams in service to our clients, our industry, and the future of global product compliance,” IAPMO CEO Dave Viola said.
IAPMO noted the structure will maintain the appropriate separation between advisory consulting work and certification activities.
Focus on Drinking Water Products and International Markets
The addition could be especially relevant for plumbing manufacturers expanding into international markets or adapting to evolving material, safety and water quality regulations.
“The In Compliance team is very excited to join the IAPMO family,” Emge-Degenhardt said. “We feel it will be a perfect match when it comes to expertise and service.”
The organizations said the move is expected to create growth opportunities for both teams while strengthening support for manufacturers working through international product approval and compliance challenges.
