THIS ENERGY-SAVING POWERED DAMPER now offered on select residential gas-fired water heaters, enables them to achieve an Energy Factor from 0.67 to 0.69, depending on the model. This allows many of the company's water heaters to meet the minumum 0.67 EF requirement of Energy Star Phase II. The 24-volt powered flue damper is positioned atop the unit, and opens and closes automatically in response to gas burner activity.
