BOURNE, MA —  Briggs Heating and Air Conditioning, a Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric) Elite Diamond Contractor who has been installing Mitsubishi Electric products since 2003, announces the opening of its new location, Cape Cod Heat Pumps, LLC, in Bourne, Massachusetts, on September 24, 2016.

Cape Cod Heat Pumps will display Mitsubishi Electric products and home comfort accessories in an interactive showroom, which aims to provide customers with an experience that highlights the benefits of comfort and efficiency. All equipment will be fully operational, providing HVAC for the building. In addition to exhibiting Mitsubishi Electric products, Cape Cod Heat Pumps will provide design services, installation and follow-up servicing.

The new dealership provides a timely service to the New England region of Cape Cod, which has a gas moratorium, making heat pumps the most obvious and efficient choice for homeowners. The opening of Cape Cod Heat Pumps comes on the heels of the announcement of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) Clean Heating & Cooling program. As part of a five-year, $30 million plan, Alicia Barton, CEO, MassCEC, announced in late 2015 that Massachusetts households and businesses will be eligible to receive rebates on energy-efficient HVAC systems. Homeowners must select from a list of prequalified equipment, like heat pumps, by manufacturers such as Mitsubishi Electric.

The strategic location of Cape Cod Heat Pumps stems from 14 months of research on the types of customers who purchase ductless systems. “After market analysis of the highest concentration of homes in Massachusetts that have electric heat, oil, or propane to heat their homes, we found the area that we are setting up in to have the highest concentration of those homes in the whole state”, says Cape Cod Heat Pumps, LLC Manager, Michael Briggs.

Cape Cod Heat Pumps’ future shows promising growth in the community – bringing over 20 new jobs to the area over the next two years. The new dealership is located at 73 Cranberry Highway, Bourne, Massachusetts, 02561 and will host its grand opening on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Customer hours are Monday through Friday from 10am-6pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.

To kick off the grand opening, there will be a cook-off and a giveaway. One lucky attendee will have a chance to win a new Mitsubishi Electric Single-zone Hyper-Heating INVERTER® (H2i®) 12,000 Btu system or $2,500 towards the purchase of a Mitsubishi Electric Multi-zone H2i system. The drawing will be open through September 30, 2016.
