WHITTIER, CALIF. — ICC Evaluation Service has hired Shahin Moinian as the executive director for ICC-ES certification programs. Moinian’s primary focus will be on strategic management of the ICC-ES Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas and Sustainable Attributes Verification Evaluation programs.
For the past 11 years, Moinian has been the senior director of Research and Testing at the International Association of Mechanical and Plumbing Officials, where he managed global certification activities including product review, inspections, sales, marketing, as well as their management registration program (ISO 9001), standards department and laboratory recognition program (ISO/IEC 17025).
Moinian is a licensed mechanical engineer (California and Ohio) with a Master of Engineering from Cal-Poly, Pomona. He started his career as project engineer with a spa manufacturing company designing products and components, went on to IAPMO serving as an Assistant Director and Director of Research, followed by five years in Ohio as the Director of Codes and Standards with Moen Inc. before returning to California and rejoining IAPMO.
