RACINE, Wis. (Sept. 29, 2011) – InSinkErator®, the world’s largest manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers, recognized outstanding efforts last week of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) state and local chapters at CONNECT 2011, the 129th PHCC-National Association annual convention, held Sept. 21-24 in Minneapolis.
In cooperation with the PHCC National Auxiliary, InSinkErator presented notable auxiliary members with the Robert M. Cox Humanitarian and Larry Dore Member of the Year awards.
“It really is remarkable to see so much dedication and commitment to the industry,” said Dennis Broderick, vice president of wholesale sales at InSinkErator. “In addition to managing auxiliary success, these deserving individuals go above and beyond to give back to their local communities and help train the next generation of industry professionals.”
Tammy Stimson of the Illinois PHCC Auxiliary was honored with the Larry Dore Member of the Year Award, given annually to a member who has been active at various levels within the auxiliary and has made a substantial contribution to the plumbing, heating and cooling industry. Stimson currently serves on the Bloomington/Normal PHCC Education Committee and the Illinois PHCC as its President-Elect, having previously worked as Secretary and Board Liaison. Stimson played a lead role in developing the youth program portion of the Illinois PHCC Convention in 2002, to which she still remains Chairman. She is also an active member of the National Auxiliary Career Education Committee.
Stimson received a $1,000 cash award and a commemorative plaque. Patricia Blank, PHCC New York State Auxiliary, was the runner-up. She was awarded $500 and a commemorative plaque.
