• To facilitate the development of an updated National Standard Plumbing Code, the NSPC Committee is requesting proposed changes to the 2006 NSPC. All proposed changes are due by April 26. If approved, these changes will appear in the 2008 Supplement to the 2006 NSPC. The NSPC Committee will review all properly submitted proposals in May in preparation for the NSPC public hearing. All proposed changes are requested in electronic form, although hard copy proposals will be accepted. If a standard is referenced, a copy of that standard must accompany the code change that is submitted to the committee. • Welbro Building Corp. has selected the new construction division of Shaw Mechanical Services for mechanical contracting services for Mascotte Elementary School in Mascotte, Fla. Shaw will install the HVAC systems along with ductwork, chilled water and controls. The new 122,000-sq.-ft. educational facility is scheduled for completion to accommodate the start of the 2007-2008 school year.
• The Palm Beach Association of the Plumbing-Heating Cooling Contractors will hold its 19th Annual Plumbing Trade Show from to 9 p.m. April 18 at the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo East. The show features hundreds of vendors with industry-related wares. More than 1,000 participants are expected to attend the show geared toward South Florida plumbing contractors. The show highlights are a plumbing apprentice competition and hundreds of door prizes given out throughout the evening.
• The Linc Group has been given a Pinnacle Award by Microsoft. The Linc Group will receive formal recognition for its for Excellence in Evangelism at Convergence 2007, Microsoft's annual customer conference to be held March 11-14 in San Diego. The Pinnacle Awards were presented in 17 categories. The Linc Group was selected for an award because of its strong commitment to and evangelism of Microsoft Dynamics products.
•The Service Roundtable File Share Center allows members of the online best-practices group to share digital business content with one another to improve business processes. Members now can upload and use spreadsheets, newsletters, advertising, calculations, posters, pictures and other content. A search tool allows members to find and download the content they want.
