MCA partners with NetClerk

St. Paul, Minn.— The Minnesota Mechanical Contractors Association and NetClerk, a provider of online permitting and licensing technology, have announced a partnership. MMCA members can now submit, process and store building permit applications over the Internet instead of having to make the physical visit to their local city hall.

NetClerk’s primary offering, PermitCentral, will give the 130 members of MMCA one central online system for their building permit needs. PermitCentral and NetClerk’s other application, LicenseCentral, an online business license tracking and renewal service, are available in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the 51 surrounding cities including Andover, Chanhassen, Minnetonka and Prior Lake.

Contractors are required to file permits with each city in which they do a job. Each municipality has different application forms and requirements to which contractors must conform. Using NetClerk’s PermitCentral, members of MMCA will be able to complete, submit, store, and archive permit and license applications over the Internet from their offices.

“When we saw NetClerk’s PermitCentral we knew immediately that this service would greatly benefit MMCA members,” explained Steve Pettersen, MMCA executive vice president. “We’ve had online license bonding, and now partnering with NetClerk’s PermitCentral will give our members a complete package of permitting and licenses online that no other association in the nation offers.”

NetClerk’s PermitCentral, is available to contractors in 1,300 U.S. cities.
