Millwood, N.Y. — The Hudson Valley Mechanical Contractors Association recently donated $35,000 raised at its annual golf outing to Blythedale Children's Hospital. The contribution will be used to modernize the hospital's facility to better serve the needs of the families who use its services.

Hudson Valley Mechanical Contractors Association, serving two dozen leading contracting firms in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster counties, has been dedicated for nearly 60 years to promoting best practices and professional standards, on-time job completion, and quality performance for its member heating, cooling and plumbing contractors. The MCA accomplishes its mission through ongoing education of its members, close partnership with United Association Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 21, and advocacy on such issues as workers' compensation, OSHA reform, public bidding laws and state building codes. As part of its commitment to the community, the MCA offers grants to area non-profits, scholarships to mechanical engineering students, and sponsorships of charitable events. Additional information is available at www.hudsonvalleymca.org.

Blythedale Children's Hospital, founded more than 100 years ago, has been a leader in developing innovative, multi-disciplinary inpatient and ambulatory programs, as well as a community resource for children with a variety of medical concerns.
