PEACHTREE CITY, GA. — Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-Ga.) on Thursday, October 20, 2011, toured Rinnai’s North American headquarters and lab facilities, and spoke with employees and guests.

During his visit, Westmoreland, a former building executive, met with Rinnai executives to discuss initiatives and policies to spur economic growth, promote job creation and accelerate hiring in Georgia’s Third Congressional District and throughout the United States.

Westmoreland made remarks to a crowd that included Mayor Don Haddix of Peachtree City and Chamber of Commerce President Virginia Gibbs, as well as more than 70 Rinnai employees.

“Rep. Westmoreland’s visit highlighted topics critical to the success of our business, including support for legislation that will help promote energy efficiency in our country’s homes and businesses,” said Phil Weeks, Rinnai’s chief operating officer for North America. “Strong energy policy also translates into a stronger bottom line for Rinnai, its distributors and installers, fostering valuable economic development opportunities during this critical time in our nation’s history. We applaud the Congressman for committing to fight for jobs in Fayette County and the building industry.”

Rinnai is known throughout the plumbing and heating industries as a producer of tankless gas water heaters, which use up to 40% less energy to heat water than a traditional tank-style water heater. Most Rinnai tankless units currently qualify for a $300 tax credit from the federal government, and the company suggests that homeowners visit its online rebate database at http://www.rinnai.us/ to find out if local rebates are also available.
