University Marelich wins FAA control tower contract

Marelich Mechanical Inc. has been awarded a contract for installation of mechanical systems for the FAA control tower at the Palm Springs International Airport.

NORWALK, CONN. - EMCOR Group Inc. announced that its University Marelich Mechanical Inc. subsidiary has been awarded a contract for installation of mechanical systems for the Federal Aviation Administration control tower at the Palm Springs International Airport in Palm Springs, Calif.

University Marelich Mechanical Inc. will be responsible for furnishing and installing a complete HVAC system, including sheet metal and piping, for a new 10,000-sq.ft.,156-ft. high air traffic control tower. University Marelich Mechanical will also install a 1,000-gal. emergency generator fuel system for the tower.

The Palm Springs International Airport is served by over a dozen airlines that connect to hundreds of cities worldwide, and with approximately 100 flights daily across the country.
