KSW Inc. has announced that it had been selected to furnish the HVAC systems for a new, 55-story, residential tower in downtown Manhattan. The contract is valued between $24 million and $25 million, depending on selected alternates. The company also reports that it recently began providing pre-construction trade management services on two new hospital projects.

Trotter & Morton Facility Services, Inc. has purchased Linc Network franchise rights for the Seattle market. This marks the fifth franchise location for the Calgary-based company, and the fifth for Linc Network in the state of Washington. The Seattle franchise joins Trotter & Morton's four other franchise locations: Kansas City, Kan.; San Antonio, Texas; Calgary, AB; and Vancouver, B.C.

Shaw Mechanical Services LLC has secured a one-year continuing services contract with Lake County Schools, Tavares, Fla., for HVAC mechanical contracting services. Under the terms of the contract, Shaw will provide budget estimating, value engineering, installation, equipment start-up and commissioning services for the repair or replacement of mechanical systems, ductwork and controls for the school district's 32 facilities.

Franchise Times magazine recently recognized the Mr. Rooter Corp. in its 2008 Top 200. This annual list ranks the top 200 franchises based on worldwide sales. Mr. Rooter sits at No. 160 with $311 million in worldwide sales at its 348 franchises across the globe. The plumbing company moved up five spots from last year's list.
