OLATHE, KAN. — The Hydraulic Institute (HI), the largest association of pump manufacturers and suppliers to the pump industry in North America, and the global authority on pumps and pumping systems, recognized six members of the Grundfos Pumps team during its 93rd annual meeting recently held on Marco Island, Fla.
Tony Radcliff, regional program director for Grundfos Pumps; Mark Rosebraugh, director of engineering for Yeomans Chicago Corp.; John Kelly, CEO for Yeomans Chicago Corp.; Lech Bobowski, senior project engineer, Peerless Pump Co.; Dimitar Kalchev, senior project engineer, Peerless Pump Co.; and Edward Allis, special projects manager, engineering, Peerless Pump Co. were recognized by the Hydraulic Institute for their technical leadership and contributions in the creation of new and updated ANSI/HI Standards.
These six individuals were reconizied for their assistance on the Rotodynamic Pumps for Vibration Measurement and Allowable Values Standard Committee. This Standard applies to all industrial/commercial centrifugal and vertical pumps and covers the vibration measurement and allowable vibration limits.
Additionally, Ed Allis was recognized for chairing the committee for Rotodynamic Pumps Guideline for Condition Monitoring. This Standard is designed to be used as a tool in implementing process safety management, and also for general pump availability improvement programs for centrifugal and vertical pumps, including both sealed and seal less pump designs. He was also acknowledged as key contributor on the committee reviewing Rotodynamic Pumps for Pump Piping. This Standard has been thoroughly updated to include the latest instrumentation available to ensure long, uninterrupted pump operation. Valuable new information has been added, including details on how regular equipment monitoring can minimize the number of shutdowns.
HI Pump Standards are reliable, widely accepted references for anyone involved in pumps, including users, consultants, contractors, construction firms, manufacturers of pumps, seals, motors, instrumentation, controls and pump software developers and systems integrators. HI periodically introduces new Standards based on industry needs.
Grundfos Pumps, Peerless Pump and Yeomans Chicago Corp. play an active role in the Hydraulic Institute Standards development. By being active members of HI, Grundfos, Peerless, and Yeomans are able to influence the direction and the details of this development as well as the delivery of comprehensive industry standards.
