Heat-fab Celebrates 25th Year

TURNERS FALLS, MASS. — Heat-fab, a manufacturer of high-performance products for the hearth and heating industries, celebrated its 25th anniversary June 21 by sponsoring a community open house. The event featured factory tours as well as the NASCAR Busch North Series Car No. 55, of which Heat-fab is an associate sponsor.

Lloyd and Millie Green, both of whom are still active in the company, founded Heat-fab in 1978 in Greenfield, Mass. Their son, Harold Green, has directed Heat-fab’s day-to-day operations as president since 1999. Heat-fab moved to the Turners Falls Industrial Park facility in 1997 and today employs about 100 people.

The company’s Saf-T Vent product lines are used to vent high-efficiency gas boilers, water heaters and furnaces in residential, commercial and industrial locations. Saf-T Liner is a professional lining system for masonry chimneys that vent wood-burning stoves, fireplace inserts, boilers, water heaters and furnaces. Saf-T Pipe is a black stovepipe for wood-burning stoves.
