New York — Toto's held its first annual “Clean is Happy” Day promotion for its Washlet bidet toilet seat in Manhattan in mid-August.
At its “Clean is Happy” canopy in Times Square, Toto demonstrated the Washlet to New Yorkers on the “island” in Times Square at the corner of 45th St. and Broadway.
In addition to the Washlet demonstration tent in Times Square, the firm's “street teams” canvassed Times Square, the Financial District and Penn Station handing out maps to Washlet Showrooms in Manhattan and giving New Yorkers a smile and a “Clean is Happy” smiley face button.
The Washlet's clothed “happy bottoms” smiled down over the day's activities from the “Clean is Happy” billboard at 51st St. and Broadway.
