ROCKVILLE, MD — Chuck Fell was elected President-Elect of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America at the close of the association’s annual convention on March 21. The event was held at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas.

Fell is president of CFI Mechanical Inc., a mechanical construction and plumbing contractor known for placing an emphasis on professionalism and adherence to world-class quality standards. The company, which is located in Houston, has a reputation for effectively managing the details associated with installations in diverse sectors of the private and public markets.

As the founder of CFI Mechanical, Chuck recognizes the importance of surrounding himself with the right people. His thirst for professional knowledge brought him to the MCA of Houston, where his involvement included service as that organization’s president, as well as on the Boards of Directors for the Plumbers Negotiations Committee and the Local 68 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and as chairman of the Health and Welfare, Pension, and Apprentice Trust Funds Committees.

A past president of the MCA of Texas who also served on the MCA of Texas/Texas Pipe Trades Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Mr. Fell later parlayed the knowledge gained from his state and local involvement into involvement with MCAA.

His first exposure to MCAA came in the form of attending various educational programs. This was shortly followed by service on the Labor Estimating Manual Committee and the PCA Board of Directors, where he also served as chairman.

He is a graduate of MCAA’s prestigious Advanced Leadership Institute.

With greater involvement came greater recognition of his achievements. In 2006, he was appointed to MCAA’s Board of Directors, and to the Executive Committee in 2011. A GBCI–LEED AP BD+C, Fell received IAPMO’s Joseph Kneidinger Green Contractor of the Year Award in 2011.

In his downtime, he likes to relax with his wife, Lynn, and two lovely daughters. He also enjoys golf, fishing and hunting.
