Delta Faucet donates $25,000 to Detroit Water Fund via United Way for Southeastern Michigan
DETROIT — Delta Faucet Company donated $25,000 to the Detroit Water Fund by way of United Way for Southeastern Michigan to help local residents to catch up on overdue bills. The fund will pay up to 50 percent of a qualified Detroit resident’s past-due water bills and $18.75 of future monthly bills for up to 12 months.
“United Way is an inspirational organization that works to solve local communities’ biggest issues and at Delta Faucet, we understand the vital importance of access to clean water,” said Jai Shah, Delta Faucet Company president. “Our roots are in Detroit as Masco Corporation, our parent company, is headquartered in the Detroit Metropolitan area. We are proud to support the Detroit Water Fund as well as our neighbors in the great city of Detroit.”
Founded in 1912, United Way for Southeastern Michigan is a non-profit dedicated to improving the communities and lives of locals in the area through mobilizing volunteers and local efforts. The organization has set goals in an effort to make the Greater Detroit area a “top 5 place to live and work by the year 2030” by focusing on initiatives that support education, income and basic needs.
Those interested in donating to the Detroit Water Fund can call 313-226-9300, text DETROITWATER to 41444 or visit bit.ly/DWaterFund.
