The team is also pleased to announce that Wilson Duncan has been nationally recognized by placing 2nd in PHCC's annual National HVAC Apprentice contest.
Shapiro & Duncan was recognized at the Metropolitan Washington and Virginia chapters of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) 34th annual Excellence in Construction Awards. This program is aimed at raising the level of construction standards throughout the industry by recognizing and celebrating the top projects built by D.C. area ABC members. This year, Shapiro & Duncan was named the 2015 Subcontractor of the Year for both the Plumbing and Mechanical award categories.
Additionally, Shapiro & Duncan has been recognized for their tireless commitment to top safety regulations and their superior safety program by The Associated General Contractors of Metro DC (ACG) for its Best Corporate Safety Program Award, given as part of its annual Washington Contractor Awards. In addition to recognizing the importance of safety programs and regulations within the industry, this latest award win highlights Shapiro & Duncan's leading role in this effort.
Last but not least, the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) recognized Wilson "Chip" Duncan as one of the top HVAC apprentices in the nation at the 3rd annual National HVAC Apprentice contest held in Hollywood, Florida. After successfully winning the competition at the local level, the top 12 HVAC apprentices from around the country received the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills at this exciting event. Duncan's high level of skill and expertise led him to place 2nd in this national competition.
