ERIE, PA – Zurn Industries, LLC and its associates continued their commitment to giving back in 2015 by donating time, items, and money to philanthropic groups representing a wide range of causes.
In total, Zurn donated $26,620 to nonprofits, the largest portion of that coming from associates ($10,570). Zurn contributed $6,050 in corporate sponsorships and another $10,000 came from Rexnord Foundation. Rexnord is the parent company of Zurn.
“Every year, Zurn has supported local nonprofits at our different facilities nationwide,” says Miranda Schmidt, a site leader for Community Involvement. “Each year we encourage our associates to join us as we give-back to our local communities. 2015 marked the fifth year of our local Community Involvement efforts. This year, Zurn has raised the bar even higher, raising almost $30,000 for our local communities during 16 local events.”
In December 2015, Zurn associates donated toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation. Other recipients and events last year included the American Heart Association; American Cancer Society; Habitat for Humanity; food banks; blood drives; Support the Troops; Earth Day clean-up effort; Childhood Cancer Awareness month; and the United Way.
