ORLANDO, FL – Orlando-based Randall Mechanical Inc. commenced work March 7 on a two-phase contract at Hill Dermaceuticals, Sanford, FL, for modifications and passivation of three 150-gallon stainless steel tanks to ASTA A967 specifications. Randall will also self-perform the Phase I passivation, a highly-specialized process that purifies the interior surfaces of high purity piping and improves corrosion resistance by flushing and chemically cleaning the process piping systems.

Phase II work includes coordination with Siemens Water Technologies for installation of a new 700-linear-foot USP parallel water loop system meeting United States Pharmacopeia standards following removal of the existing system. USP is an official non-governmental public standards authority for prescription and over-the-counter medicines and other healthcare products manufactured or sold in the United States.

Hill Dermaceuticals specializes in developing dermatology projects for adults and children. Randall’s responsibilities also include material specifications, boroscoping efforts, inspections and customer support for FDA validation. The project is slated for completion in May.

Randall has also in recent months expanded its High Purity Piping Business Group by adding top industry personnel to keep pace with its project workload in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, energy, food and beverage, and higher education fields.
