ARLINGTON, VA. — GAMA has upgraded its recently launched database search Website for energy efficiency-certified products.

This latest upgrade to Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association's certification programs site, created in late 2005, includes improvements intended to offer greater flexibility for users. Searches may be accomplished quickly, not only by search criteria such as by manufacturer, but also by ratings, fuel type and other key categories, GAMA said.

The most innovative feature allows users to select a product model and print directly onto a certificate that can be used to verify GAMA's certified rating, GAMA said. Contractors or those offering financial incentives will be able to provide not only a certificate with a GAMA-certified rating but will also be able to include estimates on installation costs or rebates directly on the document.

The upgraded site can be found at www.gamanet.org by clicking on the "Database Search" link at the bottom of GAMA's home page.

Established in 1935 and headquartered in Arlington, GAMA represents manufacturers of appliances, components and related products used for space and water heating and other building services. In addition to gas-fired appliances, GAMA's scope includes certain oil-fired and electrical appliances.

GAMA said its member companies account for more than 90% of U.S. sales of gas-and oil-fired space heating equipment and gas, oil and electric water heaters.
